Most of the time, the difference between one model year and another is slight. A new color added to the paint palette. A new trim level, or upgraded speaker system. But every now and then, a model undergoes a complete overhaul, marking the start of a new generation.
For the Hyundai Palisade, this is one of those years.
This three-row, full-size SUV is launching its second generation in 2026. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade features the brand's new design language, already seen on the IONIQ 9. The blocky futuristic styling looks sleek and new on the streets of Nashville, TN. It is slightly larger than the 2025 model, featuring a longer wheelbase and increased interior space. The 2026 Palisade has a wheelbase of 116.9 inches, while the 2025 Palisade was only 114.2 inches long. This increase in size is reflected in the interior capacity as well. The 2026 Palisade offers up to 87 cubic feet of cargo space, a full cubic foot more than the 2025 Palisade. Likewise, while the 2025 Palisade offered an impressive 154 cubic feet of passenger volume, the 2026 Palisade gives Lebanon passengers a full 160 cubic feet to stretch out in. This does all come at the expense of a higher curb weight (4,902 pounds to the 2025 model's 4,423 pounds), but not at the cost of fuel efficiency. Both models offer an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway.
